11 JULY 2019  ST PETER’S  80TH ANNIVERSARY, FUNDRAISING SUMMER CONCERT

11 JULY 2019  ST PETER’S  80TH ANNIVERSARY, FUNDRAISING SUMMER CONCERT

The Chorus of St Cecilia (Full and junior choirs) with their musical director Matthew Hardy and accompanist Christopher Whiting performed to a full church.

This Festival Summer Concert was to celebrate the 80th Anniversary, and it also raised £1000  for St Peter’s restoration fund for urgent repairs.

The choirs were excellent, and the beautiful music included popular classics and songs from musicals.

During the interval, the audience was also treated to a lovely buffet, wine, tea/coffee and soft drinks.

All went home with a song in their heart.

ART EXHIBITION IN ST PETER’S CHURCH HALL

On Saturday July 13th 2019,  Blundeston Art Group and Thursday Art Group held a joint Art Exhibition from 10am to 4pm.

There was a steady stream of people throughout the day, enjoying the excellent display of art work and the hot drinks with delicious cakes.

A good number of paintings were sold. The successful event also raised £150 for St Peter’s Restoration Fund towards urgent church repairs.”

The photograph shows members of both Art Groups with some of the art work that they had on display.
